Last Day
Today was the last day of Mother's Morning Out (Ella's last day of school and my last day of teaching). So to celebrate the classes had a picnic with the parents. Les was going to miss it, but his schedule changed, so he was able to come which really made Ella's day.
Dancing in the rocks. She thought she was going home with Daddy, so was very sad when she realized that he had to go back to work.
A beautiful little girl sitting in the sunshine- what a cutie!Sunday, May 18, 2008
Autographs
We had a guest speaker at church this morning, Melvin Adams (former Harlem Globetrotter). He was awesome and funny and very motivating. After the service was over, I went to get Ella and left the kids with our friend Chris to wait in line for an autograph. When I got back, I saw this-
Yes, he signed my children's forehead with a Sharpie! I have no idea why they thought this was okay. I gave my friend Chris a hard time, but the kids were so enamored with their foreheads, that it was hard to be too mad.

Baseball Fever
This past Saturday, Les got a little camera happy at Grace's tball game, but I have to admit that he got some really cool shots.
She is getting ready to get- still totally focused!
Got it! Getting ready to throw it to first.
Unfortunately, she didn't fair as well with the next batter. She got hit in the chest and as you can see, it hurt!

A puppy and a pillow
Warning! This entry has TMI (too much information)!!! Turn away now if you wish to be spared!
Okay, I warned you! First, you need some background information. Ever since Daisy left, Abby has wanted to be with us all the time. I know she misses her. They used to sleep in the garage at night, but lately Abby has started barking. It is loud and being in the garage, it echos. Well, this was the case last night, so Les got out of bed and went to quiet her down. He decided to let her try sleeping inside. He brought her bed in and put the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs. He came back to bed and, well, we were "reconnecting" when he turned his head and there stood the puppy watching. No we didn't close the door and yes we will in the future. Well, what Abby was seeing caused her some confusion, so she started barking. Les yelled at her (still reconnecting with his wife) and I started laughing at the whole situation. Abby barked again and Les threw a pillow at her. It was so funny! I laughed for 10 whole minutes! Just one more reason I say I live in a madhouse!

14 Years!
14 years ago, I married the most wonderful man. I had no idea how wonderful until we experienced the ups and downs of life together. Through 8 moves, 3 children, 4 dogs, countless fish, and many laughs and tears, we have become truly each others, other half. I love you Les and can't wait to see what the next 60 years have in store for us. Happy Anniversary!!!

Boys playing football in the street in front of our house is an every day occurrence. The other day, Les joined them.
